Toblino an ancient roman castle on a peninsular of the lake of the same name; it is 1500 poles long and lies in the southern part of the Vezzano valley, between the river Sarca and the villages of Padergnone and S. Massenza. A roman epigraph testifies to the existence of the site in that era. Over the course of time came into the hands of a family which took is name.
A certain Odorico di Toblino is cited in an act in 1124, in 1161 and Otto with is nephew Federico appeared and in documents, relating to the period 1204 – 1233 a certain Turuscendo di Toblino is frequently mentioned. The castle subsequently passed in to the hands of the Di Campo family, who retained it for several centuries and it is currently a rural estate of the Wolkenstain family from Trento.
The tranquil solitude of this castle, whose towers are reflected in the clear waters of the lake, the surrounding hill covered with olive groves and evergreen vegetation and the immense rocky walls of Monte Casale which tower above in to the west, make in one of the most enchanting and inusual landscapes in the Trento area. Toblino is part of the territory of Fraveggio, falling under the jurisdiction of Vezzano ‘capitanato’ of Trento.
It was captured in High Definition 16:9 PAL using a Sony HDR FX7 camera. Post processing was performed using Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 - Using steadycam sanda100
